BHS "We The People" national champs reflect on experience

BLACKFOOT — Blackfoot High School's "We The People" are still riding high from their first-ever "national win" at the competition in Washington D.C. last month. Of 23 team members and six units, "Unit Four" team members Jacob Harris, Gentry Carter, Nick Lemon and Marius Repenning claimed a first place trophy. It was a victory that they are happy to share with the entire team!
Competing against 3,000 high school students from across the country, the Unit Four team put Idaho in the national spotlight with their sharp answers on the "power of the government committees to conduct investigations through the executive and judicial branches."
The foursome recently reflected on their win and the overall experience in Washington D.C., but not without kidding team coach Holly Kartchner about her "off the hook" emotion-packed reaction when Idaho's name was called as a winner at the awards ceremony.
