BLACKFOOT — The Blackfoot High School Choir Department will be presenting their popular Renaissance Feast Feb. 3, 4 and 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the Blackfoot Performing Arts Center.
"The More the Merrier" Renaissance Fair includes dinner and an entertaining night of music and theatre.
The meal will include roasted chicken breast, mashed red potatoes, roasted vegetables and dessert.
Throughout the meal the choir students will perform a skit involving the audience as well as a number of songs. The event is fun for both the students and those in attendance. The event will feature performances by the Blackfoot concert, a cappella and madrigal choirs. Choir Director Andrew Hames said the audience will be treated to a variety of entertaining songs throughout the night.
The students are all excited for the performance.
"We love the Renaissance Feast," senior Shania Rawson said. "It's a fun night, we just have a lot of fun."
The event is a fundraiser for the Choir Department. This year the funds will be used to replace or repair equipment and for classroom supplies.
"It helps out and it helps us be a little more self-sufficient," Hames said.
Parents also help with the event by decorating, preparing food and selling tickets.
Tickets for the event are $18 and can be purchased by calling Debbie at 680-9403. Tickets may also be purchased in the BHS Choir Room Monday-Friday between noon and 1 p.m.
