Bonnie Louise Burns, 70, of Idaho Falls passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at her home from diabetes.
She was born Oct, 21, 1942 in Blackfoot, the daughter of Samuel Enoch Butler and Emily Myrtle Adams.
Bonnie attended school in Blackfoot.Â She lived in Blackfoot, Boise and Idaho Falls throughout her life.
Â Â She married Clair Farnes and he preceded her in death in 1973.Â She married Jim Burns and they were later divorced.
She had worked at the Blackfoot Elks Lodge and in law enforcement at the jail in Idaho Falls.
Bonnie enjoyed reading, crafts, arranging flowers and couldnâ€™t drive by a garage sale without stopping to check it out.
She is survived by her children, Terilee (Richard) Jacobson of Blackfoot; Kevin (Sandyi) Rooks of Church Hill, Mont.,; Traper Farnes of Idaho Falls; Michael Farnes of Osage, Okla.; sisters, Neva Butler of Idaho Falls, Nora Reeder of Burley, Leah (Bill) English of Idaho Falls, Brenda (Gerald) Oliver of Nampa; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clair and sister, Lillian Clark.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot.
