Braeden Shae Mortensen was a sophomore at Shelley High School. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he was recently ordained a priest.
He enjoyed sports and played football and basketball. He loved the outdoors enjoying camping, hunting, fishing and anything that would let him be in the mountains.
His greatest loves besides his family and his friends were snowmobiling and dirt biking. Those who rode with him thought he was just plain crazy, but he could have ridden professionally in both. His motto was “No Fear”. He lived life to the fullest and touched so many lives in the short time he was alive. He was loved by all those he came in contact with.
Braeden is survived by his parents, Darwin and Janeal Mortensen; sister KeeLeigh Mortensen and grandmother Caroline Lee, all of Shelley; and grandfather Norman Hanson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Verd and Donna Mortensen.
