Brenda A. Young, 54 of Pingree was called back to heaven on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a friend to many who all loved her. She will be missed.
Brenda was born Feb. 28 1957 in Burley. She married the love of her life, Owen Young, on Aug, 19 1972 in Blackfoot at the home of Owenâ€™s parents.
She was a mother of four children, then later in life she went to work at J.R. Simplot for 18 years in Aberdeen. Due to health reasons, she retired.
She loved the outdoors including, hunting, fishing, and her number one pastime was camping with her family.
Her husband of 39 years, Owen D. Young, still resides in Pingree, and her children survive her; daughter, Valerie (Mike) Wallace and four children of Aberdeen; son, Gary (Trina) Young and two children of Chubbuck; son, Jody (Ida) Young, three children and one great-grandchild; and daughter, Jessica (Eddy) Stacey, two children and one great-grandchild of Pocatello.
She is also survived by one sister, Joy Wilson Mayer; four brothers, John Wilson of Blackfoot, Jay (Charlette) Wilson of Pocatello, Calvin Wilson Jr. of Aberdeen and Jose (Von) Elquezabal of Aberdeen; stepfather Martin Elquezabal of Aberdeen and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Blanch Wilson Elquezabal, and her father, Calvin Wilson Sr.; sister in-law, Janet Wilson and granddaughter, April.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2011at the Pingree, LDS Chapel.
A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue, Blackfoot, and for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
Interment will be in the Springfield Cemetery.
