BLACKFOOT — Blackfoot paid a fond farewell to 7 seniors at Blackfoot High School on Friday night as Beau Hoskins, Cody Cunningham, Logan Loveland, Collin Rockwood, Phil Woods, Will Woods and Sam Cannon laced them up for the final time on the home hardwood.
Unfortunately for those seniors and the large contingent of fans on hand to cheer them on, Century was able to turn in a solid performance in the roll of spoiler, sending the home team packing with a 69-50 victory.
"Those kids have been through a lot and they should be commended for the attitudes that they have maintained throughout the season," Blackfoot head coach Jonathan Packer said. "The season is not over yet. We are all 0-0 and they will come through. They are all tough kids."
Century out scored the Broncos in every period, largely in part to a big rebounding advantage which allowed the Diamondbacks more than their fair share of extra shot opportunities.
Beau Hoskins led the Broncos on the night with 12 points as Blackfoot finished the regular season at 6-14.
Blackfoot will hit the road for the district tournament beginning on Tuesday when they travel to Rigby for a 7:30 tip off.
