BLACKFOOT — A day removed from a road sweep at Wood River the Blackfoot Broncos returned home on Tuesday for a non-conference double dip against American Falls. On a near perfect night for baseball, the Broncos continued their roll as they swept the visitors 8-5 and 14-7.
"I'm just pleased with the total effort from everybody in the line up," Blackfoot skipper Jeff Katseanes said. "One through sixteen the all did real well tonight. They are a fun group of kids to coach."

Blackfoot opened the evening by staking starting pitcher Brady Trappett to a nice 6-1 lead after just two innings of play.
Trappett then did his best impression of a stone wall as he worked six innings of three run baseball while holding the Beavers to just six hits in the win.
Jaron Katseanes closed out the seventh for the Broncos. Offensively, the Broncos got big games at the plate by Caden Preece who was 2 for 2 with a double, Dallin Fairchild who was 3 for 4 and taylor Pearson who finished 2 for 4 with a triple in the game one victory.
"Coming in to todays games we just really wanted to get some extra innings for a couple of our kids who don't get a lot of innings because you never know when we will need them," Coach Katseanes said. "I thought that they did a great job of stepping in and playing good ball tonight."
In the night cap, American Falls drew first blood with a five run third inning which included a three run dinger over the left field fence.
Blackfoot responded with a pair of runs in the home half of the third inning when Zach Later reached on an error, Russell Osborn walked and then Cole Mansanarez ripped a two RBI single making the score 5-2 Beavers.
Dallin Fairchild then took over on the bump for the Broncos and he responded by striking out the side in the top of the fourth inning and then followed that up with a one-two-three inning in the fifth.
"I was actually going to start Dallin tonight but he wasn't feeling well so I held him back," Coach Katseanes said. "When he came in he did a great job of spotting his pitches and he did a great job of keeping American Falls off balance."
With the American Falls bats silenced, the Broncos then commenced on their comeback as they tallied four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, the big blow in the frame a 3RBI double by Taylor Pearson.
The Broncos followed that up with an 8 run sixth inning as the Broncos sent 12 hitters to the plate. Cole Mansanarez ripped an RBI double in the uprising for his fourth hit of the game and Colby Pearson showcased his blazing speed as he circled the bases for an in the park home run.
Blackfoot (26-8) will have two days off as today's tilt with Snake River has been cancelled before they head to the Magic Valley on Friday and Saturday for key conference match ups with Kimberly and Canyon Ridge.
"We need at least two of the four games this weekend and our goal will be to go over and sweep all four games," Coach Katseanes said.
