Bryan William Jacobson, 41, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at his home.
Bryan was born November 20, 1972 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Claude William Jacobson Jr. and Violet Elayne Shaw.Â He was raised in the Blackfoot area and attended school in Blackfoot and Snake River.
On November 1, 1991 Bryan married Marti Paterson in Blackfoot.Â They had two children, Dakota James and Dusti Lynn.Â They were later divorced.Â He lived the last four years in Blackfoot with Sandy Davis.
Bryan worked at Basic American Foods for twelve years and at A-1 Painting for his brother.Â In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, writing poetry,Â working on cars and spending time with his family, granddaughter and his dogs, Rain and Princess. He had a special way with children.Â Bryan had a great sense of humor and always made people laugh. His favorite football team was the Philadelphia Eagles. He was a member of the Bingham County Mounted Sheriffâ€™s Posse.
Bryan is survived by his children, Dakota James Jacobson and Dusti Lynn Jacobson of Idaho Falls; father, Claude William Jacobson Jr. of Hyrum, Utah; brother, Michael David (Jessica) Jacobson of Blackfoot; sister, Loma (Brad) Ling of Utah; granddaughter, Alyss Ilene Jacobson; and grandparents, Helen and Fred Arbuckle of Groveland and Virginia Briggs Jacobson of Oregon.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Violet Elayne Shaw; paternal grandfather, Claude William Jacobson, Sr. and maternal grandfather, Gordon Shaw.
