Carma Allene Mikesell Jensen Sorensen Taylor, 92, of Blackfoot passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at her son Jonâ€™s home in Richmond, Utah.
She was born March 4, 1920, in Victor to Franklin Alva Mikesell and Juliette Allen Mikesell.
Carma and her family grew up in Victor. She also lived in many parts of Idaho including; Springfield, Rexburg, Blackfoot,Â Pocatello, and most recently she has lived in Richmond, Utah.
She married Harry Jensen July 5, 1938, and had four children, Marilyn, Karen, Pat, and Jon. She later married Merle Sorensen in 1979 and Gail Taylor in 2002.
Carma was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Â
She loved flowers and gardening. She was an excellent seamstress and also enjoyed camping and fishing. She was a terrific cook and an avid canner. She was a very hard worker and would take on many different projects in a day. She loved children and taking care of them at her daycare in Riverside and Blackfoot
She is survived by her three daughters; Marilyn (Charles) Frasure of Blackfoot, Karen (Jerry) Stringham also of Blackfoot, Pat (Joe) Remer of Pocatello; one son Jon (Amy) Jensen of Richmond, Utah; sisters; Doris Murdock, of Burns, Wyo.; Mabel Gordon of Idaho Falls, Louise Ellis of Victor, and Myrtle (Milo) Bahr of Tetonia; 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands Harry, Merle, and Gail; a sister Alice Sorensen; brother Eugene Mikesell, and one great-grandchild. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at the Blackfoot 2nd Ward, 660 Teton Drive, Blackfoot with Vaughn Jensen conducting.
The family will meet with friends on Monday, Aug. 27, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling in BlackfootÂ and for one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery.
