ARCO â€” Carol Ann Baird, 73, passed away peacefully at her home in Moore on May 6, 2011.
She was born Dec. 6, 1937, in Moore to Mark K. and Beulah Bever King. Carol Ann spent her childhood in Moore where she received her education, graduating from Butte High School in 1955. She married Arthur Nile Baird in September 1955. She lived variously on both coasts and most of the states in between.
Carol Ann returned to the Lost River Valley in the 1970s to be close to family and friends. She singlehandily raised her children. She worked as a custodian at the the INL to support her family. She was known as an avid sports fan and was very active in her community. Carol Ann was a member of the VFW Post #7137 Ladies Auxillary, Arco Lions Club, AARP, Atomic Workers Local 2-652, Beta Sigma Phi, Lost Rivers Medical Center Womens Auxillary and the Lost Rivers Senior Center. She lived life to the very fullest and celebrated life to the very end.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her children, Roye O. Baird of Idaho; Brian K. Baird of Arizona; KC Baird of Utah; John K. Baird of Idaho; D.A. Reginald of California and Kathy S. Crober of Texas; a brother, John B. King, Idaho; a sister, Alta Maree of California; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Keith and LaRoy; a son, Nile, and a grandson, AJ.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Moore LDS Stake Center with Bishop Darrell Wheeler conducting. The family will receive friends on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Anderson Family Funeral Home, 2555 N. Highway 93, Arco and for one hour prior to services at the church.
Interment will be in the Lost Rivers Cemetery in Moore.
