Carolyn Taylor Tripp, 64
Carolyn Taylor Tripp, 64, of Inkom passed away peacefully following a brief yet aggressive illness at a local hospital Jan. 13, 2014 surrounded by her family.
Carolyn was born in Butte, Mont., the daughter of John Thomas and Delilah (Weeks) Taylor. When she was two, her family moved to Moreland and when she was four, they moved to Blackfoot, where she attended public schools, graduating from Blackfoot High School in 1967.
Carolyn married John Tripp on May 18, 1969. They moved their young family to Inkom in 1976 and were later divorced on May 18, 2003.
Carolyn enjoyed bowling, and was involved on a league for many years; she enjoyed fishing, water aerobics, playing pinochle, participating in a supper club, and keeping up with family on Facebook. She treasured the joy her little grandchildren brought into her life.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was always serving those friends and neighbors she had opportunity to help. To her children, grandchildren, and siblings, she was the most amazing person they could imagine; to those who were her friends, she was the sister they never had, but always hoped for…she will be dearly missed.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Cindy L. (Jorge) Perez, Hubbard, Ore.; son, Johnny F. (Michelle) Tripp, Pocatello; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Delilah, and Alesha, Pocatello; a sister, Colleen (Gary) Adams, Moreland; a brother, Kevin (Brenda) Taylor, Blackfoot; and several nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, John T. and Delilah Weeks Taylor; brothers, John Clarence (Kelly) Taylor; Larry Taylor; Jerry Taylor; Carl Thomas Taylor; and Gordon Wylie Taylor.
Funeral services for Carolyn will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 at the Inkom LDS Ward Chapel, 801 N. Rapid Creek Road, with Bishop Dustin Young conducting.
A viewing will be held Friday from 7-9 PM at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road, and one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the church. She will be interred with her mother in Dayton at a later date. Her funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Wilks Funeral Home.
