Shirley Brumfield, president of the Greater Blackfoot Chamber of Commerce, and executive director Leah Rigby presented the Business Member of the Year award to Bingham Memorial Hospital on Tuesday.
"With all your support, we felt you deserved an award," Brumfield told Lee Kniffin, the chairman of the hospital board. "Bingham Memorial does a lot of things for the Chamber throughout the year."
As he accepted the plaque symbolizing the award, Kniffin said, "Bingham Memorial is honored to receive the Chamber's first Outstanding Member of the Year award.
"I proudly accept this award on behalf of our Board of Directors, whose wise stewardship has allowed us to build a vibrant community hospital.
"Not only are we able to sustain ourselves, but we are blessed to be able to give back to the communities we serve," Kniffin said.
"As a community hospital it is very important for us to be involved and give back to this great community in which we live," Kniffin concluded. "We take this responsibility seriously, and are honored to be recognized for our efforts."
