Christmas Tree Fantasy opens Wednesday

Morning News — Leslie Mielke Girl Scouts Katelynnn Edmo, age 11, and Sierra Key, almost 12, helped to decorate "The Giving Tree" at the Bingham County Christmas Tree Fantasy. The Girl Scouts donated gently used toys that will go to whomever purchases the tree. The Fantasy opens with a tea this evening at the Needlecraft Building on the Eastern Idaho State Fairgrounds.

BLACKFOOT — Come check out "A Child's Christmas" at the Bingham County Christmas Tree Fantasy. It is in the Needlecraft Building on the Eastern Idaho State Fairgrounds in Blackfoot.
The event begins with a tea this evening, sponsored by Bingham Memorial Hospital.
Volunteers were decorating trees and the building on Monday. The curtains encircling the room were donated by Pilar Ramirez of SA-SYS in Blackfoot.
Asked why she was decorating a tree, Francie Jeffery said, "It's a good cause."
"The money goes to charities," said Girl Scouts Katelynn Edmo and Sierra Key.
The Fantasy opens to the public at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Hours of the event are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday through Friday. On Saturday, the Fantasy is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Admission is $2 per person or $10 for the immediate family.
Musicians and musical groups from across the county will perform during the Fantasy.
The tree auction begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. Hors d'Ouerves will be served.
The Santa Breakfast will be served from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $10 per person.
Each person will be served a yummy breakfast, enjoy a story with Santa and receive a goody bag. Each child can tell Santa his or her Christmas wish.

The Fantasy Café is open for lunch and dinner from Wednesday through Saturday. Café hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday through Friday and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The menu includes soups, chili, hotdogs and the specials of the day.
All proceeds benefit worthy causes in Bingham County.
