NAMPA â€” Cless LeRoy Olney, 87, of Nampa and formerly of Blackfoot passed away Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Karcher Estates in Nampa.
He was born Dec. 26, 1923, in Smithfield, Utah, the son of Hyrum LeRoy Olney and Annis Seamons.
He graduated from North Cache High School and attended Utah State University.
Cless served in the Army in Germany during World War II.
On March 19, 1948, he married Margaret Merrill.Â She preceded him in death.Â He then married Dorothy Carlson on Dec. 18, 1976, and she passed away July 21, 2003.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Cless was an educator and coach in Rigby, Caldwell and Blackfoot.Â He enjoyed fishing and golfing.
He is survived by his children, Margo A. (Bruce) White of Caldwell, Robyn (Craig) Richardson of Blackfoot and Curtis Michael Olney of Pocatello; grandchildren, Josh White, Jake White, Adam Gillenberg, Shawn Richardson, Michael Richardson, Steven Carlson Christina Carlson and T.J. Horlocker;Â great-grandchildren, Willie, Brodie, Naithan, Zoey, Anthony and Yazmin; stepchildren, Roy Steven (Ember) Carlson of Meridian, Nan Horlocker of Oregon; brothers, Kenneth M. Olney of Soda Springs, Harry D. Olney of Arizona and sisters, Barbara (John) Little of California and Rhonda (Gerald) Henderson of Utah.
He was preceded in death by wives, Margaret and Dorothy, brothers, Walter G. Olney and Ervin J. Olney and stepdaughter, Kim Wong.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot.
The family will meet with friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, and for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery with military honors by the Stewart Hoover Post #23.
