Clint J. Mecham, 23, of Pingree passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, in Arbon Valley from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Clint was born Aug.8,1988 in Blackfoot to Dayle N. and Kathleen Amy Hanson Mecham.Â He spent his lifetime in Pingree, other than a couple years when he attended college at Idaho State University in Pocatello.Â He attended grade school in Pingree and Rockford and graduated from Snake River High School in 2006.Â He had been studying Geology at ISU.
Clint was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Â He was active in the FFA, a member of the National Honor Society, Chemistry Club, track and field and speech and debate in high school.Â He was salutatorian for his graduating class.Â He enjoyed tying flies, fishing, hunting, rock hounding, being outdoors, camping, football, basketball, building computers, reading, cooking and art.Â
He especially loved music, whether it be listening to music or attempting to play any musical instrument.Â He was very talented.Â He was always wanting to learn new things.Â He was our walking encyclopedia.Â He loved animals, especially cats and dogs. Clint was close to his family and loved them all very much.Â He enjoyed spending time with them, especially working with his dad on the farm.Â
He was a young man with a huge heart.Â He always sought out those in need of a friend.
Clint is survived by his parents, Dayle and Kathy of Pingree; brother, Keith (Natalie) Mecham of Pingree; sisters, Katie (Jared) Schwartz of Pingree and Collette Mecham of Rexburg; and grandparents, Wilton and Betty Hanson of Idaho Falls.Â His family loves him very much and he will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvin and Nina Mecham; and a nephew, Macsen Scot Schwartz.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at the Pingree LDS Church.Â Family will meet with friends and relatives from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot and for one hour prior to services at the church.Â Interment will follow at the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery.Â Condolences may be sent to the family at firstname.lastname@example.org.
