Connie Chadbourne, 74, of American Falls, passed away at her home on Saturday, June 16, 2012.
She was born Dec. 18, 1937 to Elmer and Ella Richardson in American Falls. She married Amos Alcorn July7, 1954 and they made their home in Chicago, IL, until 1977, when they moved back to American Falls. They had two children, Edna Fay Alcorn (3/5/1955- 1/28/1962) and Elmer Edward Acorn.
Amos Alcorn passed away on Dec. 29, 1982. Connie later married Elwood Charles "Chuck" Chadbourne on Aug.14, 1983. Chuck Chadbourne passed away on Nov. 12, 2007.
She is survived by her son, Elmer Acorn and his wife Monika Alcorn of Portland, OR; two grandsons, Jake Alcorn of American Falls and Thomas Alcorn of Los Angeles, CA; her loving sister, Renae Richardson of Blackfoot; her niece, Nicole Siebert of Pocatello; and nephew, Mike Santioanni of Yakima, WA.
Connie was employed by Wackenhut Security at Lamb Weston for 17 years, at the American Legion for 10 years, and has groomed dogs in American Falls for over 18 years. The past four years Connie has been actively involved in the community, including the Power County Senior Citizens, the Art Guild, and Horizons. She loved the community of American Falls.
A celebration of life will be held at the American Falls Assembly at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 30. Friends and family are invited to bring a meal dish for a luncheon after the celebration. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to the Bannock Humane Society a 850 Barton Rd, Pocatello.
