Consuela Lou Garrity, 36, of Gibson, Idaho, was surrounded by family and friends as she made her journey home on Aug. 2, 2014 in Pocatello, Idaho. Â
Connie was born July 21, 1978 to Reg and Sandra (Abel) Garrity at the Mountain Home Air Force Base in Mountain Home, Idaho. Conz was adored by her older sister, Georgette and younger baby brother Garrison.
Connie, attended school at; Irving Kindergarten, IT Stoddard, Tyhee Elementary and Hawthorne Junior High and graduated for Highland High School in 1997.Â
Connie was employed with Albertson's in Ammon for 17 years, where she worked her way from bagging groceries to becoming an assistant manager in the produce department.
Connie was very meticulous in her work and the display of fruits and vegetables. On Valentineâ€™s Day she loved working in the floral shop making arrangements of flowers and balloon bouquets. Connie was named employee of the month several times over her tenure.Â
Connieâ€™s was also co-owner of â€śSmokin Jâ€™s Detailâ€ť, where she spent many hours cleaning and detailing cars alongside Jay-dub, including keeping his friends in line.
Connie enjoyed traveling, going to concerts, movies, gardening, scrapbooking, baking, and spending time with her family.
She spent 12 years with the love of her life, JW. They were inseparable and enjoyed many hobbies together from going to concerts, working on derby cars or detailing cars and spending quality time together. Together they had a daughter, Aayanna Angel Dixey.
She also loved spending time with her family- cooking Sunday dinner or dining out; there was always laughter and smiles. Her love was spending time with her baby girl Aayana.
Conz always had a smile that would light up any room and a contagious laugh. She was always ready to lend a helping hand or ready to listen and was a very hard worker.Â
Connie is survived by her longtime companion, husband and partner, JW Dixey; her 10-year-old daughter, Aayana Angel, both of Gibson; step daughter, Tayzia Dixey; her lovingÂ parents, Reg Garrity of Boise; mother Sandra of Abel Garrity of Twin Falls, a sister, Georgette (Richard) Freeman and her brother Garrison (Saphirina) Garrity, all of Pocatello.Â She is also survived by her nephews Cedric, Eliseo Fernandez, Kahlai Freeman, Tyce Leo Garrity and nieces Gracie Garrity, EllieÂ Garrity and Aylahni Freeman;Â sisters-in-laws Kimberly Dixey of Tulsa, Okla.; Wendy Dixey (Alf Lopez) of Pocatello; Wanda Dixey of Lincoln Creek; nephews Mylez Kniffin, Stacey (Rosa) Lopez; AveryLopez, Jacob Lopez and Kenyon Lopez; as well as survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death, by her great-grandparents, John and Nellie Harney; grandmothers Hazel Garfield Abel and Beautha Harney Garity; uncles Russell Garity, Lee (Zapper) Miller, Harold and Raymond Corey Abel; cousins Sheldon Garrity and Merci Garity and special Ma, Wilhelamenia Teton Davila.Â
A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. Â
On Tuesday the family will meet with friends at the Denny Teton residence on Little Indian Road starting at 10 a.m. until time of traditional burial service at 2 p.m. in the Lincoln Creek Cemetery.Â Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.hawkerfuneralhome.com.
