Danny Leroy Dahlquist was born on October 3, 1953 to David Frankin Dahlquist Sr, and Fern Cora Elston Dahlquist. There was a small mix-up with his drivers license as it read 1952, and Danny was always excited about that, making him a year older.Â Danny was born, grew up and educated in Blackfoot.
Danny married Cherryl Camphouse Dahlquist in 1972, soon after they moved to Dallas, Texas, where his son, Johnathon was born.
After returning to Blackfoot in 1975 Danny worked for Johnâ€™s Auto Body learning a trade he enjoyed for all of his life, earning many certificates through GM and others. He also worked on farms throughout the area.
Danny went back to school to earn his high school certificate, then on to college to get a degree in Heath Physics, where he worked at the INEEL and later at San An Ofere Califorina.Â When he became ill, he and his family returned to Blackfoot to live near their family and friends.
Danny had many loves in his life, ferrets, various cats and dogs, and anything that could be collectable. He was a wealth of knowledge on any type of stamp or coin you could find.Â He loved is his son, wife and family the most.
He is survived by his wife Cherryl, and son Johnathon and daughter in law Deea, a brother David (Rhonda) Dahlquist, and a sister Lila (Wayne) Johnson.Â He is also survived by some very special people in his life, father and mother in law Cleo and Norma Camphouse, Steve Camphouse, Gary Camphouse, Kenneth Camphouse, and Paul Camphouse, Ronald and Sandra Richardson, who helped so much in his last days, and many more.Â Danny had a large extended family including many neices and nephews, and very dear friends.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother Richard.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the Grove City Cemetery under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home in Shelley.
