Darlene S. Evening, 51, of Fort Hall passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011, at her home following an extended illness.
Darlene was born Nov. 10, 1959, in Blackfoot, the daughter of Daniel Bill, Sr. and Inez Mink Evening. She was raised in the Fort Hall area and attended school in Blackfoot, graduating from Blackfoot High School. Following high school she attended Idaho State University.
Darlene enjoyed bead work, quiltwork and going to the casino. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her longtime companion Clayton Diggie, Jr.; two brothers, Ricky Evening and Delmar Evening; three sisters, Stephenita Evening, Brenda Evening and Glenice Teton; and three grandchildren, Terrence Ponzo, Angelicia Ute and Clarence Ute. All of her surviving relatives reside in the Fort Hall area.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Carlee Deaun Evening and Summer Lee Evening; four brothers, Darrell Evening, Daniel Evening, Jr., Wade Evening and Clifford Evening; and two sisters, Suzanne Diggie and Ann Evening.
Darlene will be taken to her home on North Bannock Road in Fort Hall where her family will greet friends and relatives until 2 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2011. Sheâ€™ll then be taken to the Ross Fork Creek Cemetery for traditional burial services.
