Deanna Marie Boyer Whitehead made her journey back to the creator Wednesday, August 24, 2011.
She was born October 24, 1964 to Dennis Boyer and Sherry Daniels in Pocatello, Idaho.Â She grew up in Fort Hall and Blackfoot Idaho. And for a short time at a young age in California.Â She attended school at Snake River High School and graduated in Pullman Washington.
On December 13, 1982 she married her high school sweetheart, Scott Whitehead in Elko Nevada.Â They were blessed with 3 beautiful children and a step son, Nate King (Lindsey) San Francisco, California, April Whitehead Grimmett (Jebb) Blackfoot Idaho, Jason Whitehead Blackfoot, Idaho and Tana Whitehead Rodriguez (Sid) Pocatello, Idaho.
She spent many years working with special needs children for the Bonneville School District, which she enjoyed very much. She attended college at ISU and received her CNA in which to further her education to become Registered Nurse. Sadly due to her illness this goal was never achieved. She worked for several years at Blackfoot Home Health as a home care aide.
She loved spending time with her family and most importantly her grandchildren. She loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, skiing, traveling, thrift shopping, her Native American Culture among many other things.
She is survived by her husband of 29 yrs, Scott Whitehead. Her children: Nate, April, Jason and Tana. Her beloved grandchildren Ali, Emma, Daveni, Daylen, Alivia and Alyssa.
Her mother Sherry Tillotson.Â Brother, Shane Boyer(Char), and nephew Bill. Step-mother, Betty Boyer.Â Her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Laval and Carole Whitehead. Brother-in-law, Val (Renee) Whitehead and many other family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Boyer, paternal grandparents, Edward and Olive Boyer; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Rose Daniels.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2011 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot.
Family and friends will meet 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She will then be taken to the Boyer residence south of Blackfoot for Native American services.
Sunrise services Tuesday August 30, 2011 with burial following at Gibson Cemetery at 11 a.m.
