Dolly Elizabeth Chandler Seipert, 93, formerly of Blackfoot, passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 at her sonâ€™s home in Idaho Falls.
Dolly was born on May 10, 1918 in Bancroft, Idaho to William Henry Chandler and Sara Zweifel. She lived in the Spencer and Dubois area in her youth, graduating from Dubois High School.
On July 30, 1935 Dolly married Cleon Roman Seipert in Dubois, Idaho. Together they had eight children, Venita, Rex, Lloyd, Gloria, Joyce, Larry, Connie and Michael. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. After marriage, Dolly and Cleon lived in California, Lewiston, Idaho, Missoula, Montana and moved to Moreland, Idaho in 1978, where she has lived ever since.
Dolly was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in all auxiliaries of the church. She served as Relief Society and Primary President, in the Stake Relief Society and in the Idaho Falls and St. George Temples.
In her free time she enjoyed fishing, quilting and crocheting.
Dolly is survived by her children, Venita (Eldon) Maughan of Provo, Utah, Cleon Rex (Sandra) Seipert of Orem, Utah, Lloyd Roman (Carol) Seipert of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Gloria (Dale) Sebring of Twin Falls, Idaho, Joyce (Joe) Banks of Bancroft, Idaho, Larry K. (Loretta) Seipert of Lolo, Montana, Connie Bingham of Moreland, Idaho and Michael Chandler Seipert of American Fork, Utah; brother, Jess Chandler; 31 grandchildren; and 113 great grandchildren; and many great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cleon; son-in-law, Darlo Bingham; ten brothers and sisters; three grandsons, Bradley Banks, Kevin Seipert and Brandon Seipert.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Blackfoot Northwest Stake Center with Bishop Reid Morell conducting. Family will meet with friends and relatives from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2011 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot, and for one hour prior to services at the church.
