Dwight L. Bingham, 93

Dwight L. Bingham, 93, of Blackfoot passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 at The Willows in Blackfoot from causes incident to age.
He was born Nov. 21, 1918 in Rockford, I the son of Lorin Bingham and Edna Pearl Murdock.
 Dwight graduated from Moreland High School.
He served in the Army Air Corps in communications during World War II where he was stationed in Alentian Islands.
On Sept. 23, 1941, he married LaVerda Walton in the Logan LDS Temple.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He served as 1st counselor in the bishopric, stake missionary, High Priest group leader, Young Men’s president, and served two missions with his wife, LaVerda, one in Ventura, Calif., and the other at the Church History in Salt Lake City, Utah. They served in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple for 16 years.
Dwight farmed from 1946-1965.  He also worked as an assessor for Bingham County and was an agent for Farm Bureau Insurance.
He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and camping.
He is survived by sons, Michael (Elizabeth) Bingham of Nampa; Kurt (JaLene) Bingham of Moreland; daughters, Susan Churchward of West Jordan, Utah; Janette Vogt of Fountain Green, Utah; Kristie (Michael) Whiting of Moreland; sisters, Theola Robertson of Idaho Falls and Joyce Brower of Moreland; 24 granchildren and 63 great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVerda; parents; three brothers, LaVerle, Don and Mark; and one great-granddaughter.
 The family would like to especially thank Sara Bingham and Deedie Martin for their tender loving care to our father.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at the Moreland LDS Chapel, 740 W. 175 N. in Blackfoot with Bishop Kay Martin conducting.  The family will meet with friends and relatives from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot and for one hour prior to services at the church.  Interment will follow at the Moreland Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to the family at condolences@hawkerfuneralhome.com.
