Dwyla “Dee” Fern Preslar, 87
On May 20, 2014 God received yet another angel.
Dwyla “Dee” Fern Preslar, 87, of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her children, grandchildren and loved ones.
Dee was born on November 5, 1926 in Richfield, Idaho to Frank Alvah Turner and Grace Beatrice Thompson.
In 1979 Dee married Sherman Preslar in Elko, Nevada.
During her younger years, Dwyla and Sherman were business owners, where they made many friends. Dwyla loved gardening, yard work, she would sit in her rocking chair listening to Charlie Pride and other country music, while watching outside.
Most important to her were her children and grandchildren. She loved each and everyone of them equally. Dwyla had many more that called her Grandma Dee and she loved them as well.
During the time she lived in Idaho Falls, Dwyla lived with her daughter, Darla. Her caregiver was her granddaughter, Valicia.
Dwyla is survived by her eight children, Kathy (Ray) Marquez, Lyle (Millie) Moore, Eldon (Janet) Moore, Johnna “Sis” Salinas, Aaron Moore, Jack (Janine) Moore, Darla (Javier Garcia) Roy, Roberta (Efren) Velasco; 32 grandchildren; 75 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Sherman; granddaughter, Johnna Rae; her parents; three brothers; and six sisters.
A funeral service will he held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. Family will meet with friends and relatives from 12:00 Noon until 1:45 p.m. prior to services at Hawker Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Grove City Cemetery.
