Earl Rick Clayborn was born June 7, 1957 in Pocatello to Earl and Norma Clayborn. He died at his home in Vallejo, Calif. on Dec. 30, 2013.
He became one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1971 and served his god, Jehovah, faithfully until his death.
He graduated from Snake River High School in 1974 and worked as a boilermaker until 1980 when he became an ironworker. At the time of his death he was general foreman on the San Francisco Bay Bridge in California.
On May 18, 1980 he married Martha Mahalik. They had three children: Earl, Alexsandra and Rebecca.
He is survived by his father, Earl Clayborn of Ocean Shores, Wash.; his mother, Norma Subia of Blackfoot; two sisters and two brothers, Bonnie (John) Hall of Sacramento, Calif.; his twin brother Rand (Gayle) Clayborn of Turlock, Calif.; Jim (Terry) Clayborn of Blackfoot; and Shanna (Jim) Bodiford of Barnwell, South Carolina. He also had aunts and uncles and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rick was deeply loved and we will miss him very much until we see him again at the resurrection.
There will be a memorial service for him on Jan. 18, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1535 Highland Drive, Blackfoot.
We hope to see all his friends and family there.
