Early voting opens for May elections

In-person early voting can be done in the elections office at the Bingham County Clerk's office in the courthouse for the Tuesday, May 16, elections.

Early voting for the Tuesday, May 16, elections is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, in the elections office of the Bingham County Clerk's office in the Bingham County Courthouse. In-person early voting is open until Friday, May 12.
Absentee ballots will be received at the elections office until 8 p.m. on election day, May 16.
Where only one candidate filed for office, there will be no election.
Elections will take place where two candidates have filed for the same position. Elections will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16.
A special bond election for the Blackfoot Swimming Pool will also take place on Tuesday, May 16. This bond election will determine if voters are in favor of or against renovations to extend the useable life of the Blackfoot Swimming Pool. Voters will approve or not approve the issuance of general obligation bonds not to exceed $5,000,000 for the Blackfoot Swimming Pool.
In Atomic City, voters will decide the question whether to disincorporate Atomic City due to financial necessity. This election will take place on Tuesday, May 16.
There are no elections in the library districts or in the water and sewer districts. In the Blackfoot, Firth, Shelley and Snake River School Districts, there is one trustee contest in each district.
