He married Peggy Giest, Aug. 15, 1986, and became the loving stepfather to Candice, Christopher and Shawn Gish. Edwood and Peggy enjoyed the next 26 years together.
Ed tried his hand at rodeo in his younger years, riding bulls. He loved horses and was involved with his family in chariot racing and flat track. He successfully ran two horses of his own. He also loved to hunt, fish, and camp. Simply put, Ed loved the outdoors.
