Eva Luella Nelson, 95
Eva Luella Nelson, 95, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Bingham Memorial Extended Care in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Eva was born February 22, 1916 in Teton Idaho to Charles Noah Tuckett and Evelyn Bird. She attended school in Hibbard, Idaho and Madison High School in Rexburg, Idaho. She lived in Hibbard, Teton and Idaho Falls, Idaho, living in the Wapello area since 1953.
On September 29, 1937 Eva married Francis Nelson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death in March of 2001.
Eva was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in the Nursery, as a Primary teacher, visiting teacher and visiting teacher supervisor. She also served a Stake mission with her husband. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Eva was a wonder wife and mother, in her free time she enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, embroidering, dance, cooking and her baby dolls with the eyes that open and close. She loved to make homemade puddings and was well known for them and her bread.
Eva is survived by her children, Robert (Christine) Nelson of Blackfoot, Idaho, Larren (Judy) Nelson of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Frances Merleene (George) Whitworth of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Steve (Hortense) Nelson of Rockford, Idaho, Lynn (Shirley) Nelson of Wapello, Idaho and Bruce (Karen) Nelson of Wapello, Idaho; brothers, Ray (Ruth) Tuckett of Mesa, Washington; 29 grandchildren; 84 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Eva is preceded in death by her husband, Francis; daughter, Evelyn; brothers, Glen, Otto, Charles Alonzo, Wallace Lee and Kenneth Tuckett; sister, Blache; and one great grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Wapello LDS Chapel.
Family will meet with friends and relatives from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot and for one hour prior to services at the church.
Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. the Teton Cemetery in Teton, Idaho.
