MORELAND — The Bennett family, owners of KARRS in Moreland, wants to deliver "A Christmas Feast Fit for a King" to a deserving family.
What they need is help help identifying people with a need.
"All you have to do is write a short letter explaining why the family deserves a free dinner," said Charlie Bennett. "We will then choose one of those stories as a winner."
The deadline for recommendations is Monday, Dec. 19, so a winner can then be selected and contacted.
"On Christmas Day, we will deliver a fully cooked hot meal to the family in their home," Bennett said.
Sponsors are asked to include what you know about the family in need, their names and contact information.
The sponsor is asked to include his/her name and phone number in the event there is difficulty in contacting the nominee.
Donations of toys and winter clothes are also appreciated. Any leftover toys or clothing will either be donated to another nominated family or a local charity.
"We would like to emphasize that we are not seeking donations by way of money or presents in the traditional way," Bennett said. "We would primarily like them to sponsor a family in need by way of a letter."
This is the first year for "A Christmas Feast Fit for a King." The Bennetts plan to make this an annual tradition.
Nominations and donations can be dropped at two locations:
KARRS in Moreland, 738 W. 200 N., Blackfoot, and Blackfoot Chevron, 1245 Parkway Dr., Blackfoot.
For more information, call KARRS at 684-5556 or Blackfoot Chevron at 785-6465.
