The convention took place last weekend.
BOISE â€” Firth High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) teams took four first place and three second place awards at the state convention that took place over the weekend in Boise.
Four teams from Firth FCCLA, involving seven chapter members, qualified to compete at the national level in July at Anaheim, Calif.
Stephanie Lathrop, a junior, was elected to serve as the Sixth District director.
The results of the STAR (Students Taking Action for Recognition) competition are:
Â° Anna Calixto and George-Anne Nielson earned first place in the National Programs in Action, Senior Division.
Â° Quinci Nelson placed second in National Programs in Action, Junior Division. This event takes two teams to nationals so Quinci will compete in Anaheim.
Â° Celeste Esplin and Mikaela Jensen took first in Interpersonal Communication, Junior Division.
Â° Chris Barrus placed second in Leadership, Senior Division.
Â° Keith-Anne Nielson was second in Illustrated Talk, Senior Division.
Â° Jessica Martinez and Danielle Nelson earned first place in Chapter Showcase Display, Senior Division.
Â° In the Idaho Only event, Jimmy Rose won first place in Knowledge Bowl.
Stephanie Lathrop competed in the STAR event, Interpersonal Community, Senior Division.
Chloe Hampton competed in the Idaho only event, Showcase.
