Floyd Junior Evans, 73, of Blackfoot passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 at Bingham Memorial Hospital.
He was born Dec. 15, 1938 in Winnemucca, Nev., to Ernest V. Evans and Daisy M. Renfro.
Floyd moved to Blackfoot at the age of 15 and though he has lived in various places throughout his life, including the Salt Lake area from 1973-2003, he has always called Blackfoot his home.
He served in the US Army.
On March 16, 1962, he married Barbara Lamb in Elko, Nev.
Floyd owned a janitorial contracting business with his wife, Barbara since 1979 and cleaned many businesses in Blackfoot.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling (in his younger years) and especially spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Barbara of Blackfoot; daughters Julie (Doug) Spatz of Rock Springs, Wyo., Tammy Raymond of Blackfoot, Lori (Cary) Carter of Riverside, Utah;Â brothers Roy (Carol) Evans of Sparks, Nev., Ernie (Nancy) Evans of Challis, Lewis (Pat) Evans of Pocatello, CliffÂ Evans of Blackfoot, Larry (Dawn) Evans of Twin Falls; sisters Linda (Bob) Miller of Layton, Utah; Betty (Randy) Craig of Bear Lake, Beverly (Stan) Wilcox of Bear Lake; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Cory), Jason (JoAnn), David, Carina (Mike), Matthew (Megan), Tanya, and Casey and 12 great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Debbie and sister-in-law Diane Evans.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot.
