Frances Joy Sibley, 76, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011 at her home.
Frances was born July 18, 1935 in Sunset, Texas to William Wesley Corsby and Katy Sophronia Tison. She spent her childhood in Santa Maria, California, graduating from Santa Maria High School.
On June 6, 1953 Frances married Herschel â€śRedâ€ť Ray Sibley in Santa Monica, California. Together they had six children, Douglas, Darrel, John, Randy, Karen and Noreen.
With Red in the Navy, Frances and Red traveled many places, living in Ridgecrest, California for 22 years, before moving to Blackfoot, Idaho in 2005.
She was very active in record keeping for the Salvation Army in Ridgecrest. She traveled monthly to San Francisco to get supplies for the Salvation Army. She had worked for Northrup Aviation making harnesses for drone aircrafts. In her free time she enjoyed working with plastic canvas and reading.
Frances is survived by her husband, Red Sibley of Blackfoot, Idaho; children, Douglas Ray (Debra) Sibley of Fresno, California, Darrel Wayne (Ginny) Sibley of Tampa, Florida, John Wesley (Sue) Sibley of Sequin, Texas, Randy Lee (Becky) Sibley of Formoso, Kansas, Karen Elaine (Raymond) Libby of West Point, Nebraska and Noreen Ann (Joseph) Picon of Horizon City, Texas; sister, Betty Cannell of Yuma, Arizona; eight grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot.
Family will meet with friends and relatives for one hour prior to services.
