Garry Frank Butler, 71 of Blackfoot, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at his home in Blackfoot.
Garry was born November 11, 1942 in Sheridan, Montana to Irvan Harry Butler Sr. and Virginia Harriet Farrar. He was raised in Blackfoot, spent a lot of years in Salmon, lived for a time in Oregon and in Arizona for ten years.
In 1960 Garry graduated from Blackfoot High School. He served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966 where he was stationed in Germany.
He worked most of his working years in the timber industry. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in the outdoors.
Garry is survived by his son, Garry Butler, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada; brothers, Tom Monserrat of Blackfoot and Harry (Debra) Butler of Springfield; sisters, Betty Jo (Ron) Atwood of Cottonwood, Arizona and Roxanne (Al) Simmons of Sandy, Utah; and brother-in-law, Lawrence Cook of Fort Bridger, Wyoming.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Barbara Ann and Patricia I. Cook.
According to Garryâ€™s wishes, cremation has taken place by Hawker Funeral Home in Blackfoot. No further services are planned at this time. Condolences may be sent to the family at email@example.com.
