Grace Smith Lilya, 90, of Groveland/Rose, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 at her home.
She was born July 9, 1923 in Riverside, the daughter of Don Cleveland Smith and Alice Velma Ogden.
On July 9, 1943 she married Claude Everett Lilya in the Logan LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2011.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served a mission in the Northwest States and took her one- year-old daughter with her.Â She served five missions with Claude.Â The first to St. George, Utah; Perth, Australia; England Church Farm; Sidney, Australia; and the fifth to help build the Nauvoo Temple.
She is survived by her children, LaRie (Clarence) Peck of Blackfoot; LeeAnn (Douglas) Korth of Herriman, UT; Claudon (Margaret) Lilya of Rose;Â Rod (Nancy) Lilya of Rose; Lorin (Kristine) Lilya of Rose and Lene` (Devon) Hartley of Herriman, UT; sister, Dawna Herndon of Nampa; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Claude; and daughter-in-law, Ann Lilya.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 at the Rose LDS Chapel, 403 North 150 West in Blackfoot.Â
The family will meet with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot.
Interment will be in the Groveland Cemetery.
