Groveland Road public meeting Wednesday

A public meeting to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the four proposed concepts for the project at the intersection of Groveland Road with US26 is from 4 - 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Groveland Elementary Cafeteria.
The meeting will be in an open house format. Drop by anytime.
Safety is the primary purpose for the project. The intersection has the highest crash ratio of any intersection in Bingham County.
Steam coming off the potato processing plant, under certain conditions, eliminates visibility.
The project is in the initial development phase.
Public input is desired.
The four concepts are:
° Concept 1—realignment of Highway 39 just northeast of the Bridge Street intersection to the intersection of Worthen Road and then to Groveland Road.
° Concept 2—construction of a roundabout
° Concept 3—constructing a new roadway that starts at the intersection of High way 39 and Highway 26 and runs north and then west to connect to Groveland Road.
° Concept 4—improving the intersection of Highway 26 and Colonial Loop and constructing a new road running northeast and looping east to Groveland Road.
Public meetings to explore possibilities about this project took place in January and again in March.
