Guelda D. Moser, 90

Guelda D. Moser, 90, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Monday, November 25, 2013 at her daughter, Caryn’s home.
She was born April 6, 1923 in Shelley, Idaho to Abraham Roy Summers and Julia Fern Arave.
She graduated from Shelley High School.
Guelda married Burdette Pixton and they later divorced. On October 24, 1953, she married Richard “Dick” Moser in Blackfoot. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1971. She then married Bill Hocking, Sr. in June of 1972 and they later divorced.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she had served as Primary President, Relief Society President and a Visiting Teacher. She was a member of the Daughter of the Utah Pioneers and a pinochle club. She enjoyed embroidery, cross word puzzles and word find puzzles.
Guelda worked as a waitress at Minnie’s, Wagon Wheel, Betty’s Café, Eddies and Stan’s Grill. She also worked as a housekeeper at Bingham Memorial Hospital. Her greatest joy was babysitting.
She is survived by her children Peggy Dawn (Bob) Briggs of Spokane, Washington, Steven (Earlene) Pixton of Aztec, New Mexico, Bill (Debbie) Pixton of Cumming, Georgia, Craig (Virginia) Moser of Idaho Falls, Caryn (Bill) Hocking of Blackfoot and Randy (Lisa) Moser of Blackfoot; brothers, Gene (Dian) Summers of Pocatello, Idaho, Boyd (Sharon) Summers of Rigby, Idaho, Larry (Martha) Summers of Silver Springs, Maryland and sister, Carol Rupe of Blackfoot; eighteen grandchildren, thirty eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Moser, brother, Alan Summers and sisters, Naomi Dotson, Rita Bates and Burnice Gurney.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot, Idaho. The family will meet with friends on Friday evening, November 29, 2013 from 6-8:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
