Jacquelyn Cox Nation

Jacquelyn Cox Nation, 59, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on April 4, 2014.
Jacque was born Aug. 16, 1954, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Clarence “Bud” and LaRue Cox.  She grew up on the family farm in Groveland with siblings CaRene, Kim, and Liesa. 
Jacque loved school, she graduated in the top ten of her class at Blackfoot High School in 1972.  She attended BYU and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in teaching in 1976.  She enjoyed teaching seventh and eighth grade science at Marsh Valley Junior High for two years. 
She then married the love of her life, Howard Scott Nation, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on October 14th, 1978.  They lived in Salt Lake City, Utah for nine years.  Jacque and family moved back home to Blackfoot in 1987.  They lived in Groveland and finally settled in Riverton.  Jacque greatly loved spending time with her family. She was an award-winning lab analyst at the Blackfoot Wastewater Treatment Plant where she worked for 24 years. She also enjoyed her many LDS Church callings, especially teaching in the Primary and Young Women’s. 
She is survived by her husband, Howard Nation; children, David (Kristen) Nation of Ridgecrest, Calif.; Stephanie (Matt) Johnson of Blackfoot; Jeni (Chris) Tate of Bordeaux, France; Levi Nation, currently serving with United States Marines; 6 beloved grandchildren, and siblings, CaRene (Dennis) Heap of Bend, Ore.; Kim (Brenda) Cox of Moreland, Idaho; and Liesa (Clark) Fields of Blackfoot, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and LaRue Cox. 
In lieu of flowers, Jacque has requested donations to the charity Water for People (www.waterforpeople.org) or a charity of choice.  
Funeral services include a viewing on Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. from 6-8 p.m. and a funeral service on Saturday, April 12 at the Riverton LDS Church at 1 p.m. 
Interment will follow at the Groveland Cemetery.
