St. George, Utah - James M. Burningham, 97, of St, George, Utah, and formerly of Blackfoot, Idaho, passed away Jan. 9, 2014 in St. George, Utah.
He was born Aug. 25, 1916 to James Valentine and Annie Muir Burningham. He married Ida Johnson on July 10, 1939. She passed away on Jan. 4, 2006.
In his younger years, he farmed. He then worked for Bauer Equipment for many years. He also worked in road construction as a heavy equipment operator.
James is survived by his daughters: Carolee (Velden) Martinsen of Blackfoot, Idaho; Margo (Everett) Goodwin of St. George, Utah; Janet (Ralph) Greenhalph of St. George, Utah; and Peggy (Sam) Rothwell of Eagle, Idaho; son, Bruce (Diane) Burningham of Baker City, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida and son, Robert (Judy) Burningham of Blackfoot, Idaho.
