Jane Lucille Pack Lundberg, 74

November 2, 2010

Jane Lucille Pack Lundberg, the angel that Heaven lent to us for 74 years, peacefully returned to the Savior’s arms on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. She was a humble, noble and loving soul— she was simply “awesome, awesome.”
Her “fam-bil-ly” was her crowning accomplishment. As a mother to her own eight children, as well as countless others privileged to be in her daycare, her warm bread, balloons, sticky sweet cinnamon rolls, story time, beautiful white hair and bright pink lipstick were her hallmarks. She joyfully wore out her life in service to her family, and was a pure example of the Savior’s love.
Jane was born May 3, 1936, in Pocatello to her beloved parents Clarence and Lucille Pack, who blessed her with an idyllic childhood. She shared many happy memories with her siblings and dear friends, Betty (Lloyd) Barrott and C. William (Pat) Pack.
Jane met her devoted husband of 53 years, Enfred Jon Lundberg, while attending BYU, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served in countless capacities. Her simple and beautiful testimony never wavered.
Jane is survived by her husband Enfred; children Jennifer Williams (Wade), Michael (Julie), Keith, Merilee Hunt (Lorin), Linda Hertz (Chad), Gaylen Grant (Angela), David (Tonya), and Marshall (Noelle), 27.5 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She loved her “celestial home”, babies, purple orchids and going for walks. She bore her many challenges later in life, including Alzheimers and cancer, with grace, patience and unbelievable strength. Until we meet again, Mom, keep your lipstick fresh!
Please join us in honoring her life at a viewing Wednesday, Nov. 3, from 6-8 p.m at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St. Murray, Utah, and from 11-11:45 a.m. the day of services.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Thursday, Nov. 4, at Cottonwood Heights 3rd Ward, 6890 S. 2228 E. Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
Flowers welcome—she would have loved that! Interment Memorial Estates Mountain View Cemetery.
