Jeanne Kay Strickland, 63, of Moreland, passed away Thursday July 4, 2013 after a long brave battle with ovarian cancer.
Jeanne was born on Feb. 10, 1950 in Marietta, Ohio to William H and
and Anna Kathryn Edwards. She was the second daughter of six children.
She was a graduate of Sheridan High School in Thornville, Ohio. She continued her education at Ricks College in Rexburg.
Jeanne was married to Thomas Keith Strickland on June 26, 1970 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.Â Together they had five children:
She was a member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed singing, music, sewing, but most of all spending time with her family. She was full of life and loved by many.
Â Â She is survived by her husband, Thomas Keith Strickland of Moreland; four children, Tommy (Lorraine) Strickland of Pingree, Alison(Troy) Serr Moreland, Jade (Melissa) Strickland and Anna Strickland of Pocatello; one sister, Peggy (Don) Walser of Newark, Ohio; three brothers, Bill, David, and Michael Edwards, all of Somerset, Ohio and 21 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Kathryn Edwards, her sister, Linda Riggs and her daughter, Crystal Jean.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Moreland LDS Church. Family will meet with friends on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hawker Funeral Home 132 South Shilling, Blackfoot and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will follow services at the Moreland Cemetery.
