Judge releases SRJHS Principal Cox after first appearance
Snake River Junior High School Principal Christopher Cox was released from jail Thursday morning after appearing before Magistrate Judge Charles Roos on three felony counts of sexual abuse with a minor under 16 years old.
Roos issued several no contact orders at Cox's first appearance. Cox was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim or the victim's family, no contact with minors under 18 years old and was ordered to avoid any places where children under 18 may congregate.
Cox's attorney, Justin Oleson, told the court his client intends to return to his home with his wife and child.
