Boise â€” Karen Andreason was born April 15, 1956 in Idaho Falls to John and Darlene (Hopla) Andreason. She was raised in Arco with siblings Tom, Dale and Lori.
Karen attended school in Arco until she moved with her family to Boise in 1971. Karen graduated from Capital High School in 1974. Karen passed away at home peacefully on Feb. 9, 2013.Â
She married Butch Moore in Boise on July 16, 1977 and on Feb. 24, 1978 her daughter Anna Marie Josephine was born. On Sept. 26 1979 her youngest daughter Lisa Michelle was born.Â Karen and Butch later divorced.
Karen married William Duke in Boise in1987 and they resided in Eastern Idaho for many years.Â After Karen and Bill were divorced she moved to the Treasure Valley where she attended Boise State University and worked in the athletic department at BSU.
Karen was an avid BSU supporter and loved being with her parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. Karen enjoyed crafts, the outdoors and being with her two small dogs.
Karen is survived by her daughters Anna Marie-Duke and Lisa Michelle (Ben) Thomas; foster daughter Nita (Clint) Lane; parents John and Darlene Andreason; her brother Tom (Karenlee) Andreason, brother Dale Andreason and sister Lori (Randy) Rouse; 12 grandchildren; 8 nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins who were close to her heart.Â
Services will be conducted by Bishop Cory Atkin at 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at the LDS Church at 11433 McMillan Rd., Boise. Viewing will be conducted one hour prior to services. Graveside services will be conducted at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Arco on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at 1 p.m.
