BLACKFOOT — You'll want to make plans to watch or set your DVRs as five siblings from Blackfoot's Kesler family go head to head against the Ianitello family from Woodstock, Ga., in front of a live studio audience on Family Feud Monday at 2:30 p.m on KPVI (Channel 6). It could be a nail-biter as it is revealed whether or not the Keslers win big money (up to $100,000) and a brand new car, along with some serious bragging rights.
With the King of Comedy, host Steve Harvey, at the helm, the Kesler Family Feud team includes Cameron Kesler (a doctor in Highland, Utah) Landon Kesler (a mortgage loan officer in Rexburg), Katie Ulrich (a mother of four in Idaho Falls) Kelsi Fullmer (a dance instructor in Rexburg) and Brett Kesler (a salesman in Rexburg). They are five (of seven) children belonging to Kelly and Marva Lu Kesler, owners of Kesler's Market in Blackfoot.
Landon Kesler said he hit it off with host Harvey right from the start. " I don't know what he saw in me, but he looked me straight in the eye, grinning and said 'You and I are going to get along very well.' He (Harvey) was very nice and very funny."
Kelsi Kesler, who is responsible for sending in family videos to the producers and landing the spot on the show, said, "We have watched 'Family Feud' and played along together for years so this was such a wonderful experience to share with my siblings. It's something we will talk and joke about the rest of our lives."
As a family, the Keslers decided that if they win, they will put the money towards a cabin in Island Park, a place for the whole family to enjoy. Family Feud premiered in 1976 and has become one of the most successful games shows in history. The premise of the show is two families facing off against each other answering a series of questions. The actual taping of the show was done in Atlanta, Ga., in May; however, the Keslers are contractually obligated not to discuss the outcome of the show until it has aired.
So, will the Kesler family be able to purchase a cabin in Island Park with their winnings on Family Feud? Tune in and all will be divulged!
