IDAHO FALLS — Needing a win to extend their season Blackfoot took to the Bonneville auxiliary gym, facing off with the Knights of Hillcrest.
Unfortunately for the Broncos and their fans in attendance, Hillcrest brought their A-game on Wednesday evening, sweeping the Broncos 15-25, 12-25 and 19-25.
"Huge positives if you just want to take one example it would be the game with Bonneville from when we played them early in the season to the game with them yesterday we have gone up a hundred percent, we were that far behind," Blackfoot head coach Lorin Lilya said. "I credit the seniors they have set the standards and the girls behind them are trying to catch up. They were called upon to do a lot of things that were beyond their control and they are fantastic kids, everyone of them."
On the season Blackfoot made plenty of progress under first year head coach Lorin Lilya, prompting the coach to see a positive future for the Bronco volleyball program.
"Our whole overall program really came on strong from our freshmen to our J.V. and they have done a nice job of playing and getting prepared to play up on varsity next year." coach Lilya said. "They are a great group, I can't say enough good about them they have a desire and love and they are taking the challenge from the older girls to be as good and better as a team in the future."
