Kolton Deorr Kimball, 25, of Mackay, Idaho passed away on November 18, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.Â
Kolton was born on September 29, 1988 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Gary L. and Linda L. Doig Kimball.
He was raised in Mackay and graduated from Mackay High School in 2007.Â He enjoyed participating in most activities associated with the FFA.Â He played football and was an all area linebacker for the Mackay Miners.Â At a young age he competed in various sports, including wrestling and was a state runner up as a freshman.Â
He was an outstanding horseman, competing in and showing horses.Â This experience enhanced his ability to excel in bareback riding at the professional level.Â Other hobbies include hunting, fishing, training horses, 4-wheeling, snowmachining, farming, smoking meats, weldingÂ and spending time with his families.Â He was also a handyman of all trades.
Kolton also had a loving and caring heart.Â He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, putting everyone before himself.
On July 9, 2011 he married Amy Mae Johnson at the Wild Horse Creek Ranch in Mackay, Idaho.
At the time of his death he was employed at the Lost River Electric Cooperative, Inc. as an apprentice lineman.
He is survived by his parents; sisters, Kira R. Duran (Brian Pierce) and Krista L. Mays (Joshua H.); his wife, Amy; paternal grandmother, Frances L. Kimball; and several nieces and nephews.
Kolton was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Elray N. Kimball; his maternal grandparents, William L.Â and Marjorie Wilma Doig; and his great grandparents.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Mackay High School in Mackay.Â Family will meet with friends and relatives from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Hawker Lost River Funeral Chapel, 345 Sunset Drive in Arco and for one hour prior to services at the High School.Â Interment will follow at the Mt.
