Lance Hicks passed away Aug. 30, 2012.Â
He was born to Sherlene Hicks of Blackfoot and Gene Hicks of Idaho Falls on July 3, 1971 in Rexburg. Lance has two older brothers, Danny (Sherri) and Shawn (Cory) Hicks, both of Texas.Â
For the majority of his childhood and all of his adult life he has lived in Blackfoot. Shortly after high school Lance married April LeProuse and they had one daughter, Brittni Jean Hicks (Bench).
Lance later married the love of his life, Bucki Williams. Together, they had Lance’s second daughter, Carsen Olathe Hicks. Lance’s oldest daughter recently blessed him with a grandson, McCray Bench.
Lance was a member of the Laborer’s Union and worked at the Idaho National Laboratory for 20 years.
Lance found joy in helping those around him and could often be found helping friends and family. Lance never met a stranger and has a very infectious way of making everyone around him feel welcome and loved. He was the world’s best prankster, as many of his friends can attest. He has a great love for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, particularly with his best friend Vance Butler.  Lance will be forever loved and missed…………….
