Leon Michael Waters, 69
Leon Michael Waters, 69, of Blackfoot passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 at the home he shared with long-time partner Carolyn Cook.
Â Leon was born October 23, 1944 in Rupert, to Dean Waters and June Boldt Waters.Â He was raised in Burley, and attended Idaho State University and Eastern Idaho Vocational College in Idaho Falls.Â He lived in Blackfoot most of his life.
Leon worked as a tax consultant.Â In his free time he enjoyed camping, fishing, being outdoors, helping people and making people laugh.
He is survived by his children, Amy (Tom) Jackman of Blackfoot, Jason (Brent Mosier) Waters of Blackfoot and Jenny Waters of Salt Lake City, Utah; mother, June Waters of Burley, brother, Gary Waters of Burley; sister, Kay Quesnell of Burley; five grandchildren, Ryan, Kyley, and Tyler, Lacee and Jaedyn Waters; and great-grandchild, Jayse Jackman; and longtime partner Carolyn Cook of Blackfoot.
Â He was preceded in death by his father, Dean.
Â A memorial service will be held in the spring.
Â According to Leonâ€™s wishes, cremation has taken place by Hawker Funeral Home.Â
