Local teen Kwinten Hale stands with Susan Jensen (co-founder of Rollin' For A Cause), Brad Moss owner of Homeland Auto and Renny Hale, sales manager of Homeland Auto, after he was presented with the keys to the 1996 Chevy Cavalier that he won by purchasing two $5 raffle tickets for the Rollin' For A Cause diabetes fundraiser. The car came just in time for Kwinten to head to college at Utah State this fall.
Spending $10 on a couple of raffle tickets for a good cause turned into a new car, just in time for college, for Kwinten Hale, 19, of Pingree.
Hale is the winner of the 1996 Chevy Cavalier that was raffled off on Saturday in conjunction with the third annual Rollin' For A Cause juvenile diabetes fundraiser. The car donated by Brad Moss of Blackfoot's Homeland Auto has been on display throughout the community the past few months, with raffle tickets selling for $5.
Hale, a 2012 graduate of Snake River High School, said, "I wasn't planning on winning the car at all. I just thought it [Rollin' For A Cause] would be a good cause to support."
