Long lines expected this afternoon

November 6, 2012

Alana Grace, Samantha DeRouche and Skye DeRouche show off their vote today after a quick jaunt to the polls for election day.

BLACKFOOT— Long lines were reported this morning at Riverside Elementary, home to voting districts 17 and 24. With the clock ticking on voting time, lines are expected to get longer as voters show up after work to give their voice to the polls.

Jonathan Swain voted at Mountain View Middle School just before lunch time. "It was steady, but very little wait." said Swain. "It always feels like a well-oiled machine when I've gone. Props to the poll workers!!"
Marvin Miles was the first to cast his vote at the BPAC early this morning as the polls opened.

Polls in Bingham County will be open until 8 p.m.
