Lyda Elizabeth Roberts Kniffin, 92, of Fort Hall, Idaho passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 at her home.
She was born July 25, 1919,Â in Owyhee, Nevada, the daughter of Bud and Elsie Gilbert Roberts.
Lyda attended school in Stewart and Elko, Nevada.
She married Thomas Chuck Kniffin and they later divorced.
Lyda has lived in the Fort Hall area for the last 65 years.
She work as a nurse for Bannock Medical Center, St. Anthony Hospital, Bingham Memorial Hospital and Indian Health Services.
Lyda is survived by her sons Lee(Norma) Kniffin of Blackfoot and Thomas M. â€śSpudâ€ť (Jaque) Kniffin of Coure de Alene; daughters Patricia R.(Ken) Tandy of Wellpinit, WA and Andrea Righter of Fort Hall; sister Teresa Lespade of Elko, NV.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Rita Hernnandez
Private family services will take place at a later dateÂ under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home.
