Blackfoot Police Captain Kurt Asmus has confirmed that a 35 year- old male crane operator was life-flighted to Portneuf Medical Center Monday afternoon after a crane accident at a construction sight near Walmart.
Asmus said the operator was attempting to load the crane onto a flat-bed when the boom fell, pinning him to the trailer.
Asmus said emergency workers responded to the scene where they were able to free him from the trailer while Life-Flight was waiting.
The name of the crane operator is not being released at this time and his condition is not known.
